On Tuesday was Sam's first day of Preschool. He was so excited to go and has been loving it so far! I was worried that he would cry the first day or be extremely shy/timid, but he surprised me. He walked right in and never really looked back, I was so relieved! Andrew, on the other hand, was very upset! He cried as we walked away and left Sam there and while we were running errands afterwards he kept pointing to Sam's empty seat and saying things like, "Sam sit here" and "Oh no, Sam all gone!" The second day Andrew knew what was coming when we drove up to the school and started saying right away, "An-due go too!" Sam explained to him, in a very grown up and sympathetic voice, that school is only for big boys and that Andrew wasn't all the way big yet. It was so cute!
Later that day we went to the Fair as a family. The boys didn't know exactly what to expect, but as soon as we got close enough for Sam so see the rides, he was bouncing out of his seat with excitement! It was a fun time that included looking at trains and tractors, lots of animals, eating dinner, a few rides and ice cream comes to top it all off.
On the Old Fashioned Train ride
Dinner at the Fair...yes we found chicken nuggets and boy did they make a mess!Andrew especially loved all of the different kinds of birds.Andrew looks on longingly while his big brother gets to ride rides...we was just a little too small. But......we snuck him on one anyway. His first time on a ride! You may not be able to tell for the picture, but he loved it!!As if dinner wasn't enough of a mess, we decided to give them ice cream as well!It was a great time! We were all exhausted by the end and the boys even slept in until 7:30 the next morning! Sam's been asking to go back to the fair everyday since.

That is so funny, we had to deal with the exact same thing with Brig and Kre this year. Brig started full day 1st grade and Kre was devistated that he wasn't going to school too. Kre love his preschool now so it isn't so bad. - Bard
