Last night we were driving home from dinner at my parents house. We had a half-eaten pan of brownies that we had brought for dessert. From the backseat, Sam started out by saying, "Dad, you know how sometimes we get those chocolate muffins from Costco and we have those for breakfast? Well, those are chocolate just like brownies, so we could probably have brownies for breakfast tomorrow, right?"
Joe and I were having a good laugh in the frontseat.
But, Sam was not ready to let it go. "And what about Cocoa Puffs? Those are chocolate and we have those for breakfast, so that means we can have brownies!"
He had really thought this argument through! But, to no avail. He didn't get brownies for breakfast this morning :-)

well in all fairness pumpkin pie is my very favorite breakfast
I've never really understood why donuts and muffins are considered breakfast food. Don't get me wrong, I love them. :o)
Have you seen the "Cake" routine by Jim Gaffigan? You need to youtube it, if you haven't seen it. It is hilarious! There is a part in there where he tries to figure out how pancakes became a breakfast food...
"Kids. We can't have cake for breakfast. Instead, we're having fried cake with syrup on it!" :)
I'm with Sam.
Ummm...I once allowed my 3 to have choc chop cookies for breakfast. I reasoned that they were homemade; I knew what the ingredients were having made them myself...There was far less sugar in them compared to most cereals out there...We named it "Backwards Day". They are fun to have every once in a while...Hmmm...Probably not getting Mother of the Year award....
:)
We had bacon, eggs and cupcakes a couple weeks ago for breakfast... sheesh.
