It's Official!

I hope that I don't jinx myself by writing this down, but I feel pretty confident in saying that Sam is officially potty-trained! Hurray! That was a LONG time in coming...! Hmmm, we first started last October, that's right, 10+ months of the "the worst part about being a parent" (as my mom to delicately put it). In all fairness, we did take a break from November to March, but anyway, the point is, he's finally got it. I keep reassuring myself by saying that every child won't be this difficult...we'll hope it's true. But for now I'm just celebrating!

Here's a few of my favorite potty pictures...

i know exactly how you feel about the jinxing yourself thing!! Dyl took just about as long and it was a hard road! Congrats!! I do hear that subsequent children are easier! here's to round two!

Yippee! Nothing better than a potty trained child, except maybe one that can wipe his own bum. I think the hardest part of potty training is training ourselves. I think that's why it is easier with each child. It's good to know when to take a break and try again. I have been so blessed with boys that love to "make bubbles" in the potty! I heard girls are easier. That would be awesome for me! Congrats!

Your kids sure are cute. And Kathleen took forever to potty train too. She pooped her pants every day for 6 months before she caught on. Brandon potty trained himeself before I was even ready for it. Hope your number two is like mine was.

There is never a prouder moment than the one when you realize you wont have to change your child's diaper anymore. Although, on our trip to Utah this year we were actually glad we only had ONE potty trained child instead of two. Way to go kiddo.

Yeah, you both made it!! I didn't realize how hard potty training would be on the parents!! I can totally relate to your process though. I really thought it might be the end of me :) So again Congrats!
